I came across a few quotes from one of my favorite Presidents, Dwight Eisenhower. One, in particular, was compelling to me:

"Peace and Justice are two sides of the same coin."
"In preparing for battle, I have always found that plans are useless but planning is indispensable."
"When people speak to you about a preventive war, you tell them to go and fight it. After my experience, I have come to hate war. ... War settles nothing."
